Jonas Building Design
Jonas building design is a building design and architectural drafting practice situated in Williamstown. We specialise in extensions and renovations of existing homes. We also design new homes and multi dwelling developments.
Our design philosophy has a Scandinavian influence centered around creating modern designs with functional layouts that are tailored to our clients’ specific needs.
We provide complete design services (from concept design, through detailed design/town planning to documentation for building and permit purposes) or, if required, parts thereof.
Jonas Perlind
Jonas Building Design was founded by Jonas Perlind who resides in Williamstown. Jonas has a long affiliation with architecture from Sweden as well as an masters degree in engineering.
Following a 15 year long industrial career focused on project management, he ‘went back to school’ and completed a diploma degree of Building Design and Technology in Melbourne and has for the last 10 years worked with building design and architecture.
The combination of engineering, project management and architectural design gives Jonas a unique ability to design beautiful, functional spaces that can be build effectively. This ensures that the actual building phase will run in a smooth and successful way.
Jonas is a registered building practitioner and a member of BDAV (Building Designers Association of Victoria).
Jonas is passionate about creating sustainable design solutions, that are functional with spaces that ‘work’ for his clients’ specific requirements. The designs are preferably modern or contemporary, influenced by the Scandinavian philosophy of combining function, light and aesthetics.
